The site would have been impossible if it hadn't been the course "Integrating the Internet into the Classroom", run by Michael D. Krauss, J.D., M.A.T. AES, Lewis & Clark College, in March 2004. Dr Michael D. Krauss, J.D., M.A.T. AES, Lewis & Clark College. The author of the online course “Integrating the Internet into the Classroom.”
Along with many language instructors around the world we were wisely led by him through the nuts and bolts of the Internet jungles. It happened a couple of times when I went astray pursuing my own interests but anyone like me always had clear signs left by Michael. With him I began to understand the real power of the Internet and found out the ways of tapping to it. Dr Bridget F. Gersten, former English Language Programs Officer for Russia, Public Affairs Section, the USA Embassy in Moscow. Currently she is Vice Consul in Vladivostok, Russia.
Also, I would like to thank Dr. Bridget F. Gersten, former English Language Programs Officer for Russia, Public Affairs Section, Embassy of the United States of America. Currently she is Vice Consul in Vladivostok, Russia. It was her who told about the course. |
Dr Randy Bass, Director of Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship (CNDLS) at Georgetown University, Washington DC. The project has been completed thanks to my affiliation as a Fulbright fellow with Georgetown University's Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship (CNDLS) and its director, Dr Randy Bass. His calm and perceptive approach and support were real incentives to complete the project. I appreciate support by Tatjana D. Protasova, Dean of Applied Linguistics and Communication Faculty, and Svetlana D. Bidagajeva, Chair of English Language for Intercultural Communication Department. A special thank goes to my brother-cousin, Bayar. Being a smart programmer he tightened my loose knowledge on X/HTML and CSS editing and provided substantial help during the site development. |
